About the Artist

        JJ Ashton grew up loving all things artistic from writing, dance, drawing and painting, to creating things with her hands. Though she won awards for paintings and other creations, she stopped painting after high school when some of her art was stolen but started painting and creating again during the pandemic.

        Many of her paintings are inspired by her love of the world around her and there’s many appearances by trees, cats, mountains, and bodies of water. Much of her art is abstract, and often requires the viewers own experiences and perceptions to bring meaning to what they see. After all, while the artist initially creates for themselves, once it’s released into the wild, art is for those who see it.

        JJ likes to try different styles which means you’ll find a variety of artistic styles and items in these pages.  

        Occasionally, a certain event or tragedy may inspire JJ and the piece that is made from this inspiration is dedicated to those affected. In those situations, any sales generated will have a portion of the proceeds donated to the appropriate organization.
